Cuillin
Ridge Traverse Alternatives
With
Cuillin Guides you can now attempt the Cuillin Ridge Traverse
in two other approaches, other than the traditional route.
The first, the North/South route, which starts at Sgurr nan
Gillean and finishes on Gars Bheinn. This route allows you
to abseil some of the more difficult sections. This said,
it should still be considered a serious undertaking.
The second, option is to do the Ridge in sections over a number
of days. This allows you to experience the splendour of the
ridge at a relatively comfortable speed. It also gives more
scope with the Skye weather. The course can be completed in
either 3 or 4 days.
Both
these courses cost £275 per person.
Maximum ratio 3-4:1
